Email notifications

I'm not getting email notifications for new postings to watched forums. Anyone else having this issue?

Found all my notifications in my spam folder. Had a buyer back out of a sale today because I never responded to their PM. Pretty irritating.

Yes I’ve been almost 48 hrs now. I’m not getting any email notifications for anything on the site. I also lost a sale. This site is in dire need of some competent IT support. Listen to your members while you still have them.

Hahahaha even the notification for this thread went to junk mail....hopefully they’ll get it figured out soon, I hear these dudes work pretty hard

Yes they apparently do work hard but it’s getting frustrating. Hopefully they get it worked out soon. I’ve got several people off of other venues to join BF and I’m taking a beating from them. I’ve met some great people here and found it to be an overall good experience.
I’m not sure how many people are having this issue, but with no email notifications, you cant ust sit there staring at BF all day.

Also, understand I feel the cost for Membership on this site is more than fair. If it’s a lack of technical people, or just capacity issues, I would happily pay more to be a member for a more functional and reliable site. I have no problem paying for quality. The cost is more than reasonable for the opportunities.

What's the big selling point of email notifications? *Serious question* (I found them incredibly annoying, and turned them off on the first forum I ever used as soon as I realized I could.)
I'm assuming there's something good, with people getting so worked up about not getting them

What's the big selling point of email notifications? *Serious question*

I turn them on for sales-related threads. I want to know as soon as someone claims a knife, etc., and a push notification from my phone's email app ensures that I do.

Yes the email notifications are a great feature for those of us that buy/sell/trade in the exchange. We get instant notification on new sale threads in watched forums and when people post in our selling threads so we don’t have to constantly monitor the forum. It’s an invaluable feature to those of us that participate in buying and selling. We do rely on that feature especially those of us that predominantly access the forum from a mobile device. In turn it’s very frustrating to lose potential sales and buys because you didn’t even know a listing was posted or a buyer responded.
hopefully this issue is resolved soon for those of us that rely on it.
