This thing is awesome! I ordered the SS version because weight wasn't a real issue to me. Went ahead and ordered the adapters for smaller pots as well. Mikhail emailed me saying he was having some issues with the SS adapters, so he sent the ti ones instead at no extra charge. I'm really impressed with both the product and the service he's providing and encourage you guys to check out these stoves. Anyways, onto the pictures..
Here's the BK9 helping me get some wood together for the first burn. Decided to just make a cup of coffee since the pot I had ordered wasn't here yet.
Getting ready to light things up. I cheated and used jute twine as tinder
Got things going in no time. Realized pretty early in that I had cut way too much wood.
It was boiling in a matter of about 5 minutes. Tossed the coffee in and it was done in no time. Left the wood in there just to see how long it would burn after I took the cup off, and it went on consistantly for another 10+ minutes before burning out. I'm just amazed at how efficient the thing is.. I could have cooked a meal with just 3-4 sticks.
Just got the MSR pot I ordered today, I'll post an update after I cook some food
