when you accidentally bump someone's car with your car door and it leaves a little paint from your car on his, how can you get that bit of paint off before he comes home from work?

Drive it into another car.

You probably need a polishing compound like they sell in auto parts stores for touch ups. I'd clean the surface first. But...this is all troubling...I mean...Ninjas are law abiding.

its not anything big, just a tiny spec, but i couldnt get it off with a tissue and i want to get it all off.
its not even a scratch, just a smidgeon....
do you think an eraser would work?

i'd try lighter gas, like the stuff you use for zippos. that and a paper towel. polishing compound might be more effective though.

Some Flitz might work. If you use an eraser it will just scratch the finish.

im going to use some rubbing compound and if it doesnt come out 100% ill tell him when he gets home anyway.

Get a little black touch up paint and paint over it. ;)

EDIT

1) This doesn't work if your car is black.
2) You might want to consider turning your car around and parking tail-first or front-first (the opposite of how it was when it happened)...

Looks like I will be your car expert... sorry I am so late.

Use a bug and tar remover and a soft cloth. Spray it on, let it soak for a few seconds, then rub the paint marks off. If you can't find a bug and tar remover, you can use any kind of spray polish as a slightly less effective substitute. Just don't use anything that is actually abrasiv as you will scratch the clear coat... which can't be fixed.

i got the rubbing compound and it worked, thank God.
Ill remember the bug and tar thing for next time, thanks.

Glad it worked.

There is a story of a guy who came back and found a dent in his car. There was a handrwitten note on his windshield that read:

"I just backed into your car. I am sorry. A lot of people saw me do this. They think I am leaving my name and address.

"I'm not."

Next time use toothpaste on a soft cloth to remove it, and wax afterward.
