I love the 8 because the blade shape allows me to do anything tactical that I need to do (butter my toast, make sandwiches, cut my chili dog)
of those 2 i would take the '8 myself.
you should at least look at a '12 its imho the best production EKI around.
the commander and '13 are both good too, the '13 is a lot like a '12 except the '13 is a liner vs the '12's frame lock.
why??
the '12 is #1 because its a frame lock and has almost a std "V" grind blade, #2 is the '8 i just love the way the handle fits my hand, #3 is the '13 because its a lot like a '12, and running last is the commander.
