Emerson article in AmericanHandgunner

Nice artical that should spur an interest in Emerson products by many potential customers who never hear of the Emerson brand.

Good for the gun shops that will sell the K/E collabs at full retail and the idiot bubbas who will buy them.

It's funny, I didn't know about Emerson Knives until I got my Super K in 2011 (I wish I was kidding). I always thought they were super rare. Then I started to learn more about the company, the man, and the knives. Now they're EVERYWHERE.

I like that.

Great article. Emerson is clearly doing something very well and very simple. I respect this family run business and it would be my dream to run one of my own, with my wife and two daughters some day. Although doubtful. Even though I don't personally carry Emmy's. I fully respect this company and look forward to seeing what they come up with this year to get something in my pocket. I would always be into trying a micro sized Emerson. Something maybe 4-5 inches. That would be cool.

my first Emerson was a micro commander, pretty much the same size as a mini griptilian. I really don't care for large knives, 3 1/2 inch blade is big for me, but there are a few Emersons on the smaller size that work great as an EDC

if you really are interested in trying a smaller Emerson, let me know. I'd be willing to ship my micro commander to you to check out

I personally find all the "Mini" Emerson's the perfect EDC size for a folder, with a slightly more than 4" for a closed Mini CQC-7, anything larger makes for an unwieldy and not so pocket friendly knife; of course, if you have humongous hands with a pant size to match, then perhaps a larger folder would be more accommodating. That said, I am of the opinion that if your blade needs exceed 3" and more, than a fixed blade would be more appropriate; and yes, that is a great article...

Great article. I didn't know EKI was that small of a company having only 30 employees.
