Well,
I jsut got back from a trip to the good ole' capitol of Washington D.C. and a went to the IMAX at the Air and Space Museum and saw Space Station 3D, which was interesting. I was, pardon me, pretty excited to briefly see a cosmoanut flicking his Emerson out while doing some repairs on the space station. Now, all you can really see is the side and butt of the handle, but it's clearly the SPECWAR which can be seen in the Emerson knives video vault.
Just thought I would share this...

By the way, are there any other movies or TV shows where Emerson knives have made an appearance?

Hi.
I know there was a TV show some years back that I think featured the Emerson Raven series of knives(?), but it did not last long. I think one of the stars was Dennis Rodman(?). Anyone know the name of that series?

At the beginning of the horror movie "Wrong Turn" I thought I saw a woman rock climber flick open an Emerson Commander with Black-Ti coating to cut a roap, and mentioned it in the forums, but another forumite thought it looked more like a Kershaw Boa, which it might have been. (warning: Wrong Turn is a very gruesome movie if you're sensitive about that type of movie).

I, too, always love to see identifiable knives in movies and am always on the lookout for them!
Jim

I was in Barnes & Noble (yes, book dork) the other day and there was an Emerson plain as day on the cover of some mystery book.

That book is Protector by David Morrell (Of Rambo fame) He's a knife guy and a good friend of Mr. Emerson from what I'v eread. Good, fast paced book too with lots references to the CQC-7.

I see. Glad I checked here before I spent 30 minutes searching Barnes & Noble to try and sate my curiousity. :grumpy: :D

It is really Kershaw Boa :(
- but in the "Blackhawk Down" in the beginning of the movie in the hangar scene (watching comedy on the TV) there is aCQC7 tanto briefly shown in the soldiers hand, and of course "Tears of the sun" :)

Night of the Running Man features a custom Emerson as Scott Glenn's main weapon: Tanto blade, bolsters and MOP handles. A very early version of the CQC6.

A series called SOF Inc featured the Raven model.

Some of the early Rogue Warrior books had Emerson Customs used as well.

in The Punisher (2004) the hero uses an Emerson Karambit just at the beginning of the last fight...
(there's a bad guy with a spyderco civilian too :) )

The new Marcinko books again feature Emerson knives, the personal issue was resolved.
Violence of Action?

It's the only one (last one) I haven't read.

Well, interesting I can post in my own topic...
I was watching the movie Super Troopers today and I noticed an Emerson when the one officer is opening a bag of marajuana in the back of the semi...looks to be a full cqc-7, but its real quick...

Watch the movie "Tears of the Sun" with Bruce Willis. They use nothing but Emersons in the entire movie. Great flick too. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone that likes action movies.

I agree with Wunderbar, watch the TOTS movie to see EKI PUK.
Personally by me - it's a good film with lot of military/tactical/war nonsenses and one very good knife.
