Probably someone already posted about this blade, but I just got it in the mail and I had to brag about it. To be honest, I had no idea these existed until I saw it in the exchange.
The knife is branded as a Barrett Firearms knife, but it is an Emerson through and through, and it is obviously a collectors item; it comes in a tin box with a Model 82A1 pewter lapel pin; they're available from Barrett for 180.00; they also have a signature edition which is a numbered series with Ronnie Barrett's signature on the blade.
Anyway, here are some pics of this very awesome Emerson knife; notice all the extra attention to details in the handle and the finish. I can tell they really worked to make this a special blade, like the slots mimicking the upper receiver of the 82A1.
Another thing worth mentioning is that the action is buttery smooth, it has two detents but it feels like it is riding on bearings, I'm not kidding. The only thing missing is the wave, but I don't mind; also the ergonomics are classic Emerson, just perfection in my hand. I'm very happy I got it.
Here it is compared to the Roadhouse, even though it is a more compact overall knife, the blade is almost the same size, by the way, it is dated 2003.
Anyone out there with one of these? Just curious.
