I'm looking to purchase my first Emerson, a buddy of mine has the A-100 and I really like it. Does anyone have any other suggestions for different models or good deals? Also, where is the best place to buy them? I wouldn't mind a used one if it was in good shape and the price was right. Thanks for any input.

Which to buy, oh my!
I've got a few Emersons myself and I would recommend you start with something fairly ordinary. The A-100 or Blackbird A are excellent examples, or a CQC-7A with the clippoint blade rather than the tanto.
I have a number of tanto folders and I like the blade shape, but it is not for everyone as it does take some getting used to, especially with the Emerson left-handed chisel grind.
