Emerson Blade Finish Durability

Amici,
Quick question regarding the finishes that EKI offers for their blades, specifically the stonewashed or "satin" variety. Unlike some others offered in this finish by other vendors, I have noticed that it does not hide scratches so easily as would for example, a Kershaw Knockout's blade finish would. Now the models in question are of 2010-2012 manufacture so I thought I would ask is this the standard or the exception?

If the latter, that's why I would have to cast a vote for their black finish blades, since from my experience, they hold up much better than the former finish plus look rather cool after some serious wear has been established..

Cheers,
Serge

My Emersons with a stonewash do, in fact, seem to show marks more easily than my lone Emerson black blade. However, it doesn't bother me as I look at the marks as adding "character" to the blade.
