as you can see from the last pic, it clearly has the emerson logo on it along with the emerson model desgnations which from the angle its sitting in looks like 000-1. In which i did a quick google search on and did not find any info bout it. Let me hear your thoughts and if you can tell me which model it is then that would be great!

I don't know for sure whether this is genuine Emerson or not, but here is what I can tell you for sure: I have never heard of or seen an Emerson like this, the design does not look Emerson to me, all the Emersons I've seen have a laser etched logo, not stamped, and my logos have the little (R) on the right side, which this one lacks. Finally, I also did some googling, with no results. That surprises me because if you Google "CQC-xx" or any other model #, you always get a ton of pictures of that model. Searching for "Emerson 000-1" should have shown at least one pic, the one you bought, if not a whole gang of pics.

For your sake, I still really hope that this turns out to be legit, though I also hope you didn't spend too much on it..

Icedtee, I can say with a great deal of confidence that the knife you have is a fake. It was not made by Ernest Emerson, nor by EKI. Ernie's never made a fixed blade in that style and I've never seen him use that handle material in any knife ever. I hope you didn't spend too much because this is not a legitimately produced Emerson knife.

The right side of the logo is off as well.

I would forward those pics to info@Emerson knives.com and see what they say. As mentioned, I have never seen a stamped logo either but there are some variation in the early knives. Can't make out the year in the stamp, 2003?

There are so many things I see wrong with the logo. As some have pointed out, it is lop sided, and comparing to mine, under "Emerson" it should say knives, then under that USA. Also, it almost looks to me like the model says that it's a CQC-7, at least something 7

Yeah after doing a bit more searching i did not find any that matched the design, not to mention the build quality. After looking at it closer i noticed the guard had a space in between and also the handle is not flush to the tang. I also paid a decent amount for it too. But i was on base at the moment where we dont get signal on our phones so as soon as i saw the logo and saw it was a fixed blade i jumped on it. I knew i should have done my research prior. But i guess last ditch before i make a return claim is to contact emerson 1st. Thanks for your guy's input on this. I really appreciate it!

THIS KNIFE IS COMPLETELY FAKE. Ernie never did a design like that and even if he did the logo would be completely different. A lot of knives coming out of CHINA are using the logo and passing it off as genuine. I just hope you didn't pay too much for it. Sorry for the bad news. It happens to the best of us. You may be able to get some use out of it but be careful because it could just snap in two. Who knows the build quality. If you could forward me the info of the seller is greatly appreciate it! THANKS!

Hello, sorry for the late response. But the ebay seller did agree to cancel my order and at the same time told me that he was familiar with emerson knives and said that he had some dealers advice him of emerson making non standard knife for donations and charities and that he was not able to authenticate the knife through emerson and that is why he said he made sure not to mention the name emerson on his ad tittle or listing. But if it helps his ebay screen name is "billbinder" and i think his name is will. I hope this is a direct pm to you and not shown in public for the sellers sake. Im still new to this tapatalk app thing on my phone. But anyway, thanks for the response and have a great day!
