So I've handled a bulldog a few years ago but it's been awhile to be honest . Wasnt really in the market for one ,but opportunity appeared and I would of been a fool not to jump on it .

Anybody have one ? What's your thoughts? To me it almost looks like a cqc6 blade on a different handle minus the zero grind.

Thoughts on the bulldog? Pics compared to other models? I know it's a small knife but it's an emerson . Happy to get it .

The Bulldog is one of my most carried knives, and for some damn good reasons.

One, it's a stout little bastard of a knife. When you get a solid grip on it, it's hard to put it down. In a strange twist, the Bulldog for me is much more comfortable in a reverse grip than in the conventional sabre or hammer grips.

Two, the tanto point blade. It's as close to the CQC-6 as I imagine I'd ever get.

Three, it's compact. So much so, that I often forget that I have it. When I carry it in the key pockets of my jeans without the pocket clip, it disappears. In cargo shorts, practically the same thing.

Yea I'm thinking I'm going to take the clip off it when it gets here .

I don;t use the clips on my two Emersons but I keep the clips on to orientate the knife in my pocket and to grip. That's for the Apache and Combat System.

Ive always used the clips on my other emersons . The bulldog being so small and I'm just not a fan of clips on small knives.

Same time I don't like a big knife loose in my pocket

I like my bulldog. I think it's a perfect size and I really like the handle. I think it grips better than the 7 and cuts like a dream

I been eyeing a bulldog for a while now for some of the same reasons Ttran mentioned. I will just mention a couple things I've found in my "research". If you worried about the bulldog being to small they made a big bulldog and I've run across them here or there for sale. Also I found the bravo company, bcm bulldog, it's kinda like a jungle commander theme with black blade and green scales. I believe they are still available. Anyway I think it's a fine knife and on my "want" list.

On the note of the size, if the size of the Mini 15 or mini Roadhouse is good for you, stick with the standard. If you prefer the grip of something like the Super 7 or 13, you should get the Big Bulldog.
