What do you guys think of the Emerson Bullnose Karambit folder? I have not found any reviews for this knife.

I'm looking for a new EDC knife. Here is what I have carried in the past: Spyderco Delica--> Mini-Griptilian--> CR small Sebenza--> Camillius Dominator. I like the karambit b/c I do lots of FMA and for self defense I like the ice pick grip. I also like that it's very difficult to be disarmed. A quick deployment option is a must and the Wave feature seems to fill that role. But I also wanted a utility knife and I thought the bullnose blade would be a good compromise. The blade is also small enough to be legally carried.

Cons: Some people say Emerson's have spotty QC and weak liner locks. I'm not sure how much I believe all that. Chisel grind. I've never used a chisel grind so I don't know, but how bad could it be? 154 CM steel. I would prefer S30V or better.

What do you guys think of my logic? Any other knives I should consider? It doesn't have to be a karambit.

I had one, and it was nice.
The chisel grind did get in the way a tad for some everyday tasks, but worked out okay generally (cuts better in one direction than the other).
The liner lock on the particular one I had was absolutely perfect; can't say what you'll get.
If you like the looks of it, get it!:)

My experience with Emerson folders has been fine so far, I've got three karambits and like them a lot (one of them is a Bullnose).

In defensive use the Bullnose is just a regular folder with the added benefit of the pommel ring. It doesn't work like a regular karambit (mostly traction cuts). For utility tasks the handle is surprisingly comfortable, you can hold it just fine without putting a finger through the ring. The blade shape is quite versatile, but the chisel grind can be a pain in the behind.

How big a pain in the a$$ will depend on the sort of things you cut on a daily basis. I found it hard to do precise cuts, straight lines and stuff like that. It didn't work well for me, so I had it re-ground to a conventional V-grind.
