Hey everyone!!!

I'm looking to buy my first emerson tactical folder. What are your favorites and why? I'm kinda of leaning towards the CQC-13 Combat Bowie. I like the fact it comes with serrations and has a curved rear handel. Any suggestions would be great!!!!

the '13 is a good one but the '12 is better, a lot more $$ too regrettably, i also like the '8 a lot, but i have had a '13 and its a lot like the '12 except a liner vs frame lock.

i would try and get a plain edge vs serrations myself.

I have owned three different models, SOCFK, Super 7, and Combat Karambit. LIke them all. SOCFK a good size and handle shape feels good. Super 7 is just big and beefy. Don't think you can go wrong with anyone you pick. Check out the 8, I think that will be my next Emerson.

I'd recommend a 10, personally. Most versatile blade shape in the history of edged tools.

Get a 7. Plain edge. You can sharpen it on a brick or sidewalk if you don't have anything else around. Easy to maintain.

i like the cqc 7's also. i have several with different blade configurations and carry options. my favorite is an unwaved black tanto serrated, it is older so i can carry tip down which i prefer. i also recently bought a combat kerambit which is awesome!
