So I my EKI collection seems to be growing at a "bunnies" pace. I have about 15 so far and have out grown the several different storage solutions I have had. So thought I would check and see what all my other EKI brothers and sisters are doing for there storage ideas and solutions are. So hoping to share pics and ideas here. Hoping for some pics really.. I am a very visual person.

Sadly I only carry one at a time so at any given time I have 14 that need a handy place to wait for rotation change. I love to fodle and play with my emersons so right now I store them in a plastic drawer solution that is great but over flowing.

My next idea is some sort of bigger plastic drawer solution but hate to use a deak drawer again becuase my office desk is full of other non emerson collections. They dont see as much use or fondle time ..lol

Here is what I have now.

If you use some foam and cut grooves into them, you can fit more knives per drawer.

I use an old jewelry chest that I got a a flea market. It has 3 full-width bottom drawers and 6 half-width upper drawers. They're all lined with a felt type lining. It's very similar to the chests that A G Russell sells on his web site. The knives can all stay out of their boxes, just ready to grab whenever I want one.

I use this.

I have a magnetic strip attached across the face of the shelf in my closet. The shelf is right above my cloth. That way I can get dressed in the morning and stand there for a extra hour trying to decide which knife to carry.

Try searching Gadgets & Gear, there are literally dozens of threads about knife storage ideas. Everything custom make containers, safes, tool boxes, to Pelican cases.

I bought a Harley-Davidson four-drawer Craftsman tool chest, put the same shelf liners in it you're using (one can buy them pre-cut at Sears) and use that. It works great, and I can hold 30 folders or so in the top three drawers.

I use the bottom drawer for all the EDC stuff that goes in my pockets when getting dressed, and can choose from the three drawers above for an hour or two it seems like before leaving.

I'm not into Harleys - nothing against them either - but the paint scheme looked better on my dresser than a plain red or black box. It is orange, black and silver, and I put a couple of knife maker stickers under the lid, Emerson and Chris Reeve.

Good thing is, in a fire I just latch the lid, grab the handle and run! Bad thing is, a thief could do the same. But I live in a good neighborhood so no worries as of yet.

Anyway, I learned of the tool chest idea on here, gave it a try and am very happy with it. They are not that expensive, either.

Congrats on your growing collection, and I'm glad you are outgrowing your current setup.

Here is my $20 solution, it works for me although I will need another case soon.
