Emerson commander and edge pro.

Hey. Im going to get an emerson commander and had a couple of question about using my edgepro to sharpen it. 1) How easy is it to sharpen the recurve blade on the edgepro? 2) I know the bevel is a V grind and the edge is only sharpened on one side (kinda like a chisel). Does this mean I only need to sharpen it on one side with the edgepro and then break the burr off the other side by lowering the angle of the edge pro and lightly going over the backside?

1. ive sharpened a mini commander on my edge pro. i only found i had to reposition the blade more frequently so the stone grinds at roughly a 90 degree angle.

2. yes, sharpen on one side, and grind off the burr.


for sharpening purposes, treat the emerson like a chisel grind.
