I have a 2008 Emerson Commander, black, part-serrated with the swedge. Somebody nicely polished the factory tool marks off the edges of the liners. It also has a silver screw holding in the thumb disk (instead of black). The edge has been touched up (correctly) but it's otherwise like new with no marks. Even the clip is without a scratch. Lockup is shallow like a new knife should be. This is NOT a mini.

$117.00 shipped. Paypal only.

I'll reply immediately to emails until 11:15 Eastern Time. If I don't sell it then, you won't hear back from me until I get home tonight. Thanks.

The logo is in the wrong place. In all factory Emerson Commanders they have no screws going doen center of knife. All Emersons regardless of model do not have torque screws they have Phillips screws, and thats just what I can tell from your one picture. Its probably got an inccorect pocket clip as well.Hope u didn;t pay much for it, because you'll be lucky to get $20.00. Maybe u'll b able 2 sell as a knife and not a Commander. Try ebay because ur not gonna be able to sell it here.Just trying to save u some hardache.

I have a Commander and changed the screws out and replaced them with Torx (I like them better)
I also moved the clip to the other side (I am a "lefty")
But that does not mean "my" Commander is a fake..., it's just not exactly like it was from the factory. I made a few personal changes and I like it better that way.

The knife in question..., I am no expert, but could tell if it was in my hand.
Maybe the seller could sell it and when the buyer gets it and is satisfied send payment or return the knife,
Just an idea:)

Oh, hell! Good lord; the first thing I did was grab a magnet and... clink! The liners are steel.

I can't believe I fell for this one... I paid $130 for it on ebay... and I know what I'm doing! I've got 2 other Commanders (year 2000 models) and I've owned quite a few others - just not newer ones. I just figured they made changes on the new models.

Oh, well. I'm embarrassed :o but I should be able to get my money back fast enough through paypal.

Sorry, ya'all. At least I didn't suffer the embarrassment of selling it to another BF member and THEN finding out.

Alright, I'll hit up the ebayer I got it from and see how that goes.

Sorry again.

I hope EVERYTHING go's good for you.
After I saw this, I had to go check on mine to make sure..., it sure makes ya nervous about it, I even called Emerson. One he made custom for me, the other I bought on the forum (I think) and (I think) it was before the fakes.

Anyhow, all the best!!

Well, I had to persuade the guy I bought it from on ebay that it was, in fact, a counterfeit, but I did receive a full refund. Now this ebay dealer is ticked at whoever sold it to him. Oh, well. At least I got my money! Thanks guys!
