I just got my Emerson Commander in the mail on Fri.. I got it on the trade forums so it isn't brand new , but a great knife none the less. I have a Benchmade 800 that I have carried for years and a Spyderco millie that I bought 2 weeks ago, both are now put away for my Commander. I love this knife! This is my first recurve and I think the looks are awesome, very mean looking. The way the handle feels, the heft of the blade , and the wave feature, make this one my new favorite. I spent a few minutes with my sharpener and it's now shaving sharp. And though I haven't had any time to really test it out, I can tell it's gonna be one tough knife. I used to have a CQC-7 but couldn't get used to the handle, but Emerson did right with this one. Just want to post my thoughts about this knife, thanks for looking.

Have Mini Commander, also traded in used condition. I love the mini so it's not hard to see you loving the regular Commander. Great knives!

Same thing happened to me, Commander is the only folder I carry on a regular basis now. Fits my taste/personality and is a great knife overall.
Congrats on picking one up!
