Hey there fellow knife nuts.
FINALLY received my CQC-10 today and thought I'd do a mini review.
I'll post a full one with pics in a week or so after having a chance to use it at work.
First Impressions.
-nice size. about the same as my CRKT M16-13LE, which is heaps for me
-great ergo's. fits beautifully in a forward grip, reverse grip, holds well also in hammer, dagger and draw grips, but not as nice as the first two. the G10 is nicely checkered and holds stuck in my hand.
-nice lock up, liner lock holds under spine thumping, and locks in place with a nice click.
-opening. the wave feature is awesome, but the thumb hole isn't as great. I think a disc would've been the go on this knife.
-closing. the liner lock has aggressive teeth which make it easy to get a purchase on with your thumb, even with my hatch shooting gloves on.
The blade is rather thick, which probably isn't so great for food prep and finer slicing, but I would have to say it would handle some serious work. It has that kind of feel about it.
It came fairly sharp but not shaving. I'd say a few passes on my EZE-LAP 520 should fix that though.
Overall.
Very happy with this knife. it can carry easy enough IWB, or just in the pocket. Has just become my EDC along with my Subcom.
excellent work Mr Emerson
