Emerson CQC 12 with shiny titanium handle?

I recently went to a local sporting store and they had a cqc 12 by emerson on display. It looked just like mine except the screw was black not silver. The titanium on the handle was also a shiny metallic titanium and not the light gray titanium on my model. Is this a new cqc 12? A limited edition? A custom? I handled this beauty, and it said cqc 12 on the blade. I am a little confused and was wondering if there were more than one version out there. Has anybody else seen this? I will take a picture of it the next time I'm there. Mine looks something like this:

they went from beadblasting the ti to stone washing it, IIRC only the first run of '12's had beadblasted handles.

its just a later model than yours.

supposedly the BB finish showed a lot of scuffs and such (as BB finishes always do.....) when ya edc it so they switched to the stonewash which doesnt show wear as bad, and imho it doesnt show wear as bad, i prefer the look of the BB finish though.

all of the customs (and a few productions) have ti/ti handles vs G10/ti.
 
Glad to hear it, bead blasting is a bit ugly IMO and stone washing is far more durable as well.
