Hey guys, yesterday i was looking for a new knife to buy, and i laid my eye's on the Emerson cqc-15, i did some research on it and i loved it at first sight ;)... i decided on going with the satin-finish with the combo edge, as this will be used primarily as a folding-tactical knife and not my "beater edc" knife... i have my spyderco tenacious for that =p... anyway after hours of searching on the internet looking for the cqc-15 with satin finish and combo edge i finally found it... and ordered it for $183 ... ill have it hopefully sometime during the upcoming week... anyway i wanted all your thoughts and opinions on this knife and pro's vs cons in your minds..

this is mainly for the people who own this im-particular knife btw =p..thanks guys..

i just sold my mini 15 to a friend...its a sweet knife and def one of the coolest bladeshapes ive ever seen, but i was afraid to really use it due to it being awkward to sharpen...

overall an awesome knife

Idk anything about that knife... but dont u want our pro's and con's before you spend the 183$ on it?

haha, well i was dead-set on getting it .... dw.. ive watched reviews and all the research there is on it... i just wana hear what you guys say about it...

cool, cool, lol i understand you'd you that... but honestly.. if i love it i would just send it into a place for a sharpening... and let em do it at there place.. but i dont fear this problem as it won't be used for EDC tasks.. it'll be on me but only for "tactical uses"... ill still carry out EDC tasks with my spyder tenacious as i said before =p..

if i really love a knife.. $12 dosn't faze me to get it sharpened lol

The CQC-15 is no doubt one of Ernest Emerson's most intricate and beautiful designs along with the CQC-8. Emerson knives are legendary man.

I hear ya. I considered getting the Mini CQC-15 but with serrations. I figured it would be easier to sharpen, but then again there is the tanto tip that has to be sharpened also.:(

I dont know if this will be your 1st Emerson or not but I thought Id mention

in case you dont know that the blade on all Emersons is sharpened on

One Side. Emerson says it makes the edge more durable.
