CQC-7 is bad ass.

Just received my first one yesterday and don't know why I didn't try it sooner. Put it in pocket and went to the shooting range right when it arrived. It was in pocket again today for work on a house project. Used it for everything I could and just want to use it more. This is my favorite Emerson. :thumbup::thumbup:

Also, Emerson makes the best pocket clip.
 
Good choice! Of all my Emersons, the CQC-7 is the one that ends up in my pocket the most. I'm thinking of adding one more - the CQC-7v.
 
Congrats and enjoy. I love the 7 myself! Thinking of replacing my plain edge with a combo edge or just getting the combo edge in addition.
 
It's actually my favorite too because it's so simple in design yet so ergonomic. I never thought I would like it because I didn't think the blade was long enough but it grew on me fast. Congrats on the acquisition

Exactly how it was for me. The simplicity is awesome, though. The blade size grew on me. It is a great looking folder open and closed.

Yup, I already started looking for a 7v. Going to hold out until I find a waveless. I dig the chisel, though. Just going to enjoy this one for the time being. Mr. Emerson designed a classic :thumbup:
 
Well done Jazub! I'm back to carrying a super 7 daily... it's perfect. Any yes, Rolf is always right, and he is proud of us all!
 
Has there been an orange G10 CQC-7b? Does the "b" get as many handle treatments in general?

I don't know, I have seen orange although it may have been a set of custom scales. Factory though I have seen the original OD green, later jungle green, brown and the camo brown scales.

Also, I get your feeling on the CQC-7 jazub. I have a CQC-7 like yours, except mines a 2013 bw. I bought it used last year, had to give it a regrind because the PO rolled the edge pretty bad, but it has become my favorite and most EDC's Emerson. Next to my 2009 Mini Commander, which is currently on its way back to the factory for some warranty lock work.

:thumbup::thumbup: Yup--great knife; CLASSIC blade.

I go clear back to the Benchmade 975 with the design. Lost it years ago in the high Sierra and still lament it. I know it's probably still lying in the crevass where I dropped it, unopened. Hope it's doing well. :)
