I have an older Emerson cqc-7 that I would like to know more about, I would like know what the steel it is made of and things like that. Is there any way I could find out what year or make it is? I know Benchmade had something to do with Emersons awhile ago, mine does not say Benchmade. It has been used, but it is in very good condition, how much is it worth? Any help will be appreciated.
P.S. it says 9 9 under the Emerson logo, is that the year?

benchmade produced the cqc-7 until 1998, when ernie emerson went on his own. they are easily distinguishable as the bm has the butterfly logo on the blade. the one you have is an emerson cqc-7, 154cm, chisel grind, made in 1999, as marked on the blade.

Does it have Titanium liners? By the way MORIMOTOM, thanks for the help.

yes it should have titanium liner. as far as i know all the bm and emerson 7's have such. glad i could help.

just curious, what configuration is it? black serrated, bead blasted, etc....?

It is bead blasted and part. serrated. How much do you think it is worth?

depending on condition, i have seen them sell for 100.00-150.00. if you have the original box and papers it is more desireable.

I don't have the box or papers, it was given to me, it is in very good condition with no rust or scratches, it has been sharpened properly and is shaving sharp. It has some light signs of age, from sitting in a drawer for years, but I would buy it again if I liked the design a little better. I was thinking about selling it (not advertising, to any mods out there) locally and was wandering what it would be worth.

no problem, try the exchange forums here, good guys and trustworth buyers. if i had the money now i would make an offer. i love those 7's
