I just bought one of these the other day, and I must say wow! I have shelved my other knives indefinately. If anyone has any long term experience with one tell me about it. I took it apart and used the super eraser to smooth out the bead blast on it, now it looks like frost instead of bead blast, and the action is smoother. Only problem, I had to bend the liner lock a bit so it wasn't seating so far to the right side. That also fixed some of the Emerson lock sticking problem. The spear point is also IMHO much better than the tanto, for every day. One quick note. I dropped it point first onto a steel sink surface by mistake from about 2 feet. No damage whatsoever. Sorry if this sounds like a review. Let me know what you all think about this wonderful knife.

I love mine. I ACTUALLY carry a Emerson Raven mostly, but I own 2 CQC-7B's and 1 CQC-7A. I used my CQC-7A for about 2 months before I purchased my Ravens (One tanto, and one Spearpoint) I like the spearpoint MUCH better! Emerson Knives are one of my favorite knives manufacturers on the market. I prefer the Raven due to the handle materials, but the CQC-7's are awesome as well! I think you got a GREAT knife!
