I am looking into buying one of these, if anyone has one I'd like to know your personal thoughts on the knife(how it carrys, preforms and what the ergonomics are like) thanks in advance. :)

I have the 7A, which is a v-grind with a spear point.
I like the chisel edge -- sharp and easy to maintain.
Despite my big hands, I actually like the handle's ergos on the 7-series.
I find the stonewashed spear point to be sheople-friendly in my fair state of Illinois.
As far as performance, I've used mine on zip ties, paper, surgical hose, cardboard, and a couple times for light prying. I've always been pleased with my 7 and would definitely recommend the 7-series.
Rolf? You want to chime in on this one? :D

I've got both, and I do carry my 7V more often than the 7B. The B is a bit slimmer, and as far as handle ergos and grip are concerned, either one feels good in-hand while in usebut feels boxy and doesn't feel "locked in" like the 10 or Journeyman.

I have the 7a and 7v. The tan scales on the 7v are thicker and do feel a little more blocky in my hands. I've been using the 7a more, the spear point just works better for me.

I had no idea the tan scales are thicker. The 7s already felt kind of boxy to me.

the 8s and Commanders ergos are unmatched, though.

I will chime.
I like the chisel grind. Most like the V grind. Get the V grind. If you dunt like the V grind get the chisel. :D Get a 7. Now.

I have the super 7 and I edc it; it's big and fill the hand. The ergos are better on my cqc13, but the tanto can deal with things that the finer point on the 13 might not (love the 13 for food/ fish/ meat processing). No problem with the chisel grind; I've come to like it very much. Easy to sharpen and maintain... and it get very, very sharp. Edge retention is better than expected, given all the bad noise one hears. Great knife, over all...

I have no complaints about my 7V, like the look, feel and performance of it, and I'm really not a huge tanto fan. I think it is a good purchase.

I haven't sharpened either of mine yet, I just strop them real good. When the time comes though .... using the Sharpmaker- any suggestions on what to use angle wise? Anyone? Thanks. :-D

I have a stone-washed cqc-7v and I absolutely love it.

I bought it because I love the brown scales (and they are very slightly thicker which I like) and it has rapidly become my favorite EDC knife even though I have a super 7, three commanders, a cqc-11, a desert roadhouse, a cqc-15, a gentlemen jim etc.etc.

I still have a strider sng cc kicking around somewhere also, but I hardly ever use it.
