Emerson CQC-8 or CQC-10?

This will be my first Emerson and the designs generally don't appeal to me, but these two have grown on me. I like the blade on the CQC-10 a little more but don't like the "fatter" handle, and I like the handle more on the CQC-8. Neither are really a deal breaker for me, but I'd like to see what all the fuss is with these knives. The Wave is definitely a cool feature too and I'd also like to try that out.

I read a thread on hereabout the CQC-8 and it was pretty favorable, but I couldn't find anything on the CQC-10. Any suggestions? Does anyone have any decent pictures of them?

The 8 would be the best choice. The blade shape and ergonomics are outstanding.

I would get the CQC8 unless you would really prefer a thumb hole over the thumb disk.

I don't think you'll be able to find a 10 unless you want a combo edge. I think everywhere (except the most expensive dealers) is sold out of the plain edge ones.

Didn't know that about the plain edge 10s... I actually don't like the hole though, that's another thing.

I guess I'll shoot for the 8 then. Cheapest I can find it for is around $180.
