Emerson CQC-8... where to find one???

So this is a very famous knife, but it is nowhere to be found!

No online store has it in stock at all, and nobody sells it on the trade forums here or anywhere else

Is this still being produced? And where do you guys that do own one, find it?

you could start a "WTB" ad here on BFC, i think you would have a good chance of getting what you want.

You could try eBay. I remember seeing a seller or two who had them in stock, and at a price less than the MSRP.

However you decide to proceed, know that, IMO, this is Ernie's finest personal defense folder design, hands down. Index finger guard and deep recess, stout tip grind, plenty of belly for utility work, great handle shape. It's my current favorite "personal defense" carry knife. Get one, see if you agree. If it's too big, the reduced sized "Horseman" might fit the bill. I have them and like them both.

Ebay is a good place... only if your okay with a combo edge... plain edge emersons are the hardest to find. combo you can get off retailers.
