I have a CQC7 that ended up being used to cut open a tin can of beans during a long night of heaving drinking on a camping trip. It was a dare...and my balls were feeling heavy. The knife cut right through it and slashed the top right off, it was awesome. However....the blade got pretty scratched up on the sides. Anyone know if this type of repair is covered by warranty? I doubt it is.... If this is the case, anyone got tips for how i can get it repaired? Should i post a pic?

Figured as much... Any tips for how i could get it restored/modded to look a little better?

also..might i say, this blade is still razor sharp. Its dangerous to even touch it, even after cutting through that can.

you can get it rebladed for a price, but I personally would leave it alone, Emerson knives are meant to be used hard IMO the more beat up the better and I'm sure a lot of people will agree.

Allen is right, those scratches represent good memories, cherish them. :)

I picked a black blade just so it woukd get scratched up.

Post pics! Everyone loves some pics of a good user!

I wouldn't worry about those - they just show you are using it, you know.....what it was intended for...... ;-)

Yup, leave it. Looks cool. My Commander is all scratched up now from using it to work on my house. I'm proud of all its little scars :)

I think few thing look as awesome as a beat up blade with a killer polished edge in it. Well used and still fully functional.

Oh baby, she looks loved. Don't change a thing about her. Love her the way she is. BTW good work and nice battle scars.
