Here's the result of lucking into the Emerson lottery and then lucking out further in this choice of knife. Double flat ground blade, steel unknown at this time, bolstered and waved knife with what looks like linen micarta handle scales. Too dazed to converse with Ernie and obtain more details on this knife, one which I have seen in a past issue of TK; was enamored of it, but never picturing myself ever having one.

Dude, congrats on the beautiful knife! I've been waiting for my cqc8 for at least 4 years or more and now they (Emerson knives) asked me to wait for another 2 years or so.... if you manage to speak to Ernie, please do me a favour and tell him there's a long line waiting...
