Emerson "custom shop"

Can someone tell me what the deliverytime is on knives ordered through the "custom shop"?
By "custom shop" I mean custom production knives.
 
From what I've come to understand, and I may be wrong,turn around time isn't badas long you don't order anything with TI bolsters like I did and I've been waiting over a year and a half:(
 
HEhehe...i've been waiting for my CQC8 for the past 4 years...;) Ran out of steam for anger...just continue waiting is all i can do.

Hey Eric....If you ever tire of waiting, just call EKI and switch the order to my name, and I'll take over for you!

I've been waiting for my " Leftie 6 " since "97" and guess what EKI said it would most likely be another year!!!!!
 
First time to venture into this forum.

Wow. What do they have working in the custom shop? Four year wait? What does Emerson personally dig the titanium out, melt it and fit it personally? I know a good knife takes some time but four years?

Ok if that was just a joke and I mistook it as being serious...... chalk it up to me not being familiar with emerson knives.
 
There are 2 separate things being talked about here.
The original poster is talking about the "custom production" shop where Emerson lets you pick some options for your production knife.

The other is Ernie's custom knives, which he doesnt take orders for anymore. When he stopped taking orders the backlog was 6-7 years. The demand is high and these knives are highly sought after by Emerson collectors.
