Emerson dealers in Canada

Saw one at Target Arms in Calgary. They don't sell too well he said, too expensive. Not too many people can afford a $200+ beater.

Huh. Warriors and Wonders is a great dealer from what I've heard, but I can't afford MSRP. :(

Warriors and wonders would be one store that carries most of the Emerson line and is indefinitely the most friendly store that sells knives (bought several knives from W&W already) cause I’ve gone to lots of military surplus and knife stores and I either get the cold shoulder or they know squat about what they are selling beyond the normal response of “It opens, closes and you stab people with it” wow… isn’t that helpful,

Toronto should have some dealers or a dealer that sells Emerson knives so my only answers would be to google map it, wait for someone from Toronto to reply, and if you know anyone who carries a Emerson to ask them where they got it from.

I know Emerson knives are rather expensive but look it at this way if you will… Would you rather carry a 50 dollar knife that works alright and does all your normal tasks but in the back of your mind you know it could fail on you at the worst time? Or carry something that is carried by military elite, known for a reputation that is dependable that people put their lives on a single blade and wouldn’t fail you if your life was put at risk? I would save a little more because they are worth every cent but that is my opinion.

I've seen some Emerson knives at Central Surplus, 610 Yonge St.; just north of Wellesley, a few blocks south of Bloor.
This was a while ago, last year?, so now ???

Central Surplus seems to charge around list price for their knives.
I bought one knife from them a few years ago, a Spyderco.
I hesitated a bit, and they made the price tax included, so I bought it.
Otherwise, Central is just too expensive, and I buy my knives elsewhere.

I'm not really into Emerson knives; they're interesting though.

Also, maybe S&R knives, at Woodbine Mall, might have some.

has anyone seen the emerson combat system training dvd and will you be well versed in edged wheapons after viewing

as well versed as ya will be from watching something with no hands on training.

i would say after simply viewing that no ya wont be "well versed" in knife fighting lol.

why would emerson sell training dvd's if it didn't do anything for the customer.are you calling the emerson training dvd's a gimick.Have you heard of people doing fitness videos, that gets you in shape without "hands on training".I think the training video would have you better off then if you didn't watch it at all.

if you think you can watch a movie about knife fighting and by watching the thing greatly increase your skill at knife fighting with no hands on training with other folks you are incorrect, imho the EKI DVD's are well made and ernie knows WTF about knife fighting but you've got to have some hands on to increase your skills, imho anyway.

Then I guess you have to do both hands on and dvd training to better yourself.Your probibly right!

I don't have the video but when I saw how well the commander is for a very practical style of knife fighting I would be willing to bet that it has some great content. Since I got mine I consider it a very good value. It costs much less than the Zero Tolerance or Striders that are it's real competitors. There are Spydercos and Benchmades with similar quality then it is a choice of features.
