Has anyone used the Hard Wear Endeavor? How does it perform? I want one for a utility knife but I would like some thoughts on it before I get it

I've wondered about Emersons in general, having never handled one. They seem not to be held in very high regard in this forum. Some people say the fit and finish is spotty. Don't know for sure whether the comments applied to the hard-use or regular line.

The Hard Wear series is made in Japan, most likely by the same factory(ies?) that manufacture for Spyderco and other US companies. Speaking from personal experience, they had the same fit and finish as the Endura and Delica series. The split-opinion comments tend to be for the American-made lines.

The handle is slightly slimmer than a Spyderco. The lock up is very tight.
The opening smoothness is about the same as the older Spydercos, but not the new ones, like the Native. Very little blade wiggle. They look nice, and have a nice deep finger groove.

I used to have one of the early series - they are much slimmer and more contoured than the Enduras... lockup was tight but not as smooth as a Spydie.

The clips were polished which I hated (should be black) - overall excellent ergos but wished it was much more thicker zytel and a black clip and it would have been perfect.

Good but there's better...
