This is a special collaboration between EKI and my local forum www.bladereview.com in Thailand. :D:D:D

looks good, but i think the black finish version is much better for its intended purpouse.

The black finish doesn't really accomplish much, other than hampering the cutting ability.
First thing I did was strip mine; WAY nicer looking, and cuts better.
It isn't intended for sentry removal, and if concealing it before use is a concern, it's TINY. Not hard to keep hidden, if that's something you want.:)

Thanks for all your comments. The La Griffe does excel as a self-defense knife, but it does just as well as an all-arounder.

With the black coating maybe it helps slow down oxidation a bit being primarily warn inside the shirt in a hot and humid climate, but it shines in stonewashed finish though, doesn't it? Anyway, everyone's got the black one, now we all have a stonewash to match other stonewashed Emies...;)

Looked great but quite impractical for it's intended use.

Why?
What is it about black blades that makes internet gurus think they are superior defense items?
Where did this idiotic, unsupported by reality notion come from?
But hey, repeat the nonsense often enough and people will think it is fact.

Duh! The black coating increases it's lethality by 150 internetz points!

Thanks for all your comments. It's rather nice to have a first post by someone in a thread you started. ;)

Where can I get one?

Only 190 of these were made for bladereview.com forum members. As fas as I know all are spoken for. If they circulate, they probably circulate within the forum.

BTW, the 101 serialized RC-4s were among the first batch of RC-4s to come from RAT Cutlery and ROWEN in early 2008. Thanks to Jeff & Mike.;)

Thanks MRpink, the pikal La Griffe looks the bizniz.

Love it. I got the Super Commander in stonewash finish about three months ago and it has gotten by far the most pocket time than any other knife I own ever since.

Gorgeous! :)
Just purchased my La Griffe today, sadly though the paint started chipping after a few ins and outs with the Kydex sheath. So I'll probably be stripping mine soon :)
