Emerson G10 Raven

I need some help finding some info. An Emerson Raven was offered to me in a trade & I don't know anything about it.

This particular one has the plain edge, chisel ground tanto with black G10 handles/scales. I was told it's a version made for the astronauts. The only Ravens I've seen/heard about are the "kydron" handled ones.

Does anyone know?

Hi, I believe that what you have there isn't a Raven, but rather it's called the "Blackbird". EKI produced it for a short period, but it's no longer in production. I have 2 of these, of which one has the Tanto blade, and the other a clip point.

As for the G-10 version being made for the astronauts, i believe that information is wrong. The knife that NASA utilized was the EKI Specwar (Tanto) folder with a cutout ground into the front of the blade for opening meal packs. Hope this helps.
