I've had a few Emerson knives so far and with every one my sweat turns the g10 a dirty white color on some parts of the knife. Cleaning with soap and water has no affect but mineral oil does bring back the black pigment for a day or two. My question is why does my sweat affect Emerson's g10 more than say spydercos. Can post pictures if need be.

When cleaning have you tried using a tooth brush as well. Some of Emerson's G-10 has such small divots to create the texture/grip I could see it holding some sweat dampened dust and dirt or even sanded off skin down in the texture needing brushing to remove.

Of course some people have very acidic sweat, everyone is different so it could just be the chemistry of your sweat affecting the G-10 as well. Can you post a pic of your knives with the affected G-10?

I used to work with a guy that had to wear latex gloves to handle steel parts because the oil in his hands would cause rusty fingerprints. Some peoples body chemistry is just off a bit I suppose.

I have the same problem. Every few days I'll do a 100% disassembly and sharpening. I hold the G10 under running water and scrub it with a toothbrush. Then I'll dry it with a cotton t-shirt.
