Emerson Hardware HELP!

I lost the screw that holds the thumb disk down. I called emerson to find out the size and they told me they don't disclose that information? Does anyone know the size of this screw I don't really want to have to pay s&h plus wait time for a 10 cent screw

Usually for Emerson's its their clip screws and thumb disc screws are 2-56 (I could be wrong so double check) but i know I needed a longer thumb disc screw and used a clip screw that i shortened. you will have to shorten the screw quite a bit, try not to break it off in the blade.... If you do wind up ordering from Emerson, get some extras
(clip screws, pivot washers) and see if they will combine shipping. Call them... they are usually pretty cool that way.

I stripped a screw on one of my emersons last week doing regular maintenance. So i shot them an email from there site under the "contact us" link.
Told them what happened.
Which screw needed to be replaced (so tell them the thumb disc screw for my Emerson ________ made in year _____.
Your Billing address and name.
And bam i got 3 replacement screws in a week via jewelry bag with screws in an envelope lol.

I wish. They sell them on their website for $4 a piece if all else fails. Comes with the screw and thumb disk. There's currently a wait list FYI as they are out of stock at the moment.

I took it as a sign to send it in. The lock was slipping and it was time for the spa should have it back in about two weeks if everything goes right

If you feel uncertain about the performance of your Emerson,and you're not a blade/knife smith by trade, do send it in.. Emerson CS is again top notch and their turnaround time is phenomenal..
