Good call Friz.

Here is one I've never been asked to Wave before. Not sure why. It was an easy one by comparison to others I've done. For that matter I'm not sure why these knives are not talked about more because I think these are harder use knives than the current USA made liner locks being offered by Emerson personally and a step up from other lockbacks that are being bought and talked about quite a bit from Cold Steel and other companies. Companies who probably have their knives made in the same factory actually now that I think about it. These Seki Japan Emersons are nice and to be perfectly honest with you, I like AUS8 over 154CM so they sit quite well with me there also.

Go figure though; as you hardly hear a word or comment about them. Anyway, I thought it worth a post on it to let folks know, "if you haven't tried one do. They are one of the better values in beater lockbacks available and if the Wave is all thats keepin' you from snagging one well, they Wave and work fine trust me. Maybe Ernie should consider doing this from the factory to boost interest in these very well made lockbacks he offers.???

They are sharper than the CQC series. That looks real good with the wave! Kevin:thumbup:

Hey stranger. Good to see you hanging about.

Yep, these are darn fine little folders right here. I just bought up all that NewGraham had left in plain edge after seeing this one. I guess it might surprise some but these excite me more than any other knife in Ernie's production line up. Can't believe I've never seen one in person before now. It would be nothing at all to rebuild one of these ie, no different than a typical Spyderco and these were made to work. The locks are big, the grip is something only Ernie could create and the edge was razor sharp as you said Kevin. Its a nice thin easy slicer too and with the grip and oversized opening hole you can work easily with gloved hands with one of these too!

Nope I'm on the prowl for more of these babies. I'll have one of my own done up in ti liners and G10 soon with break down pics of the insides and lockup to boot. Watch my smoke!:D I won't be at all surprised to see an outstanding lock up underneath here based on others I've seen from this city in Japan. My other plan is to take that tanto plain edge I bought from Newgraham this evening and when I get it I'll turn it into a Wharncliff blade and redo the handle so that will probably be numero uno.

I always keep a check on what you are doing. But it is going to be hard for you to beat the ones you have done for me! Kevin:thumbup:

You still carrying a Military frame lock then I take it?? :D

THAT IS THE BEST FRAMELOCK EVER! It will be hard for you to beat that one. SMOOTH! Everyone that looks at it likes it.

Yeah, well you know come to think of it I have not seen that one since Dwight Waved it. If you have a pic you might post it either here or in another separate thread or Dwights old one whatever page its on by now.

I think he was going to send me pics or something but then sold it. If he did I either didn't get them or don't recall. Either way I know there isn't one posted here on my forum though.

Thanks for the compliments. I try to make em the way I like em for me when I do one for myself.

Sorry Steve I dont do pics. The wave he did looks GREAT! It just took him awhile and a few tools to do that S30V. Maybe if you ever get back to good old WV we can hook up and I will bring it. Kevin:D

Oh yeah. S30V is like grinding on a rock. I quit Waving the thicker S30V blades. At least for what I normally charge but so far no one wants to pay to have me do one and its fine by me.

DAH! I found pics of the Waved Millie. Dwight did send me some. I just spaced it off. I'll post them here myself shortly.

Good, that way my GREAT knife can be showed off some more! You wouldnt happen to be coming home for the holidays would you! Kevin:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

No not this year. I rarely travel on holidays though. I am long overdue for a trip home but I doubt I'll ever drive it again. I will likely fly in and that will undoubtedly put me in Pittsburg or Baltimore where I will have to rent a car when I do make the trip. Where I'll end up is all depending on price and lay overs. If I thought I could fly to Hagerstown that would put me fairly close but usually thats a lot more money. Used to be I could drive cheaper than flying, but now?? Much as I hate flying and even more being disarmed to do it, its the only feesible way anymore if I want to see family.
