Howdy!
Anyone out there have any details?
Like, What is the handle material, and what steel is the head made of?
Is it a forged blade?
Any help would be appreciated!

Steel: 4140 Alloy

Hardness: Rc 54-55

Overall Weight: 16 oz. w/o sheath

Handle Length: 13 ¾”

Cutting Edge Length: 2 7/8th

Head Length: 7 ¾

Blade thickness: .200 stock

The first run is a machined head. The handle is our LaGana Tactical handle with some extra finishing operations.

Hope this helps.

The advertisement I saw says its a "fully machined head".
The material will be 4140 heat treated to Rc 54-55. That's about all I know of the specs. and I have one on pre-order. the cost turned out to be $275 + $12 shipping instead of the <$225 listed in the forums.

FWIW

Thanks Ron...got your voice mail by the way...we'll catch up next week.

Price change was after consultation with Ernest due to rising material costs...we want to keep making the CQC-T for a long time to come and I issued the price a bit pre-maturely. Steel is going through the roof and the United States is sending a considerably amount of material to China, drying up supplies...part of the reason we also went with 4140...ABUNDANT supply.

Thanks for the replies, guys!

Andy, I want you to know that I have been carrying my Scout hawk around in my Jeep ever since I have gotten it back from you. It comes in handy quite often.

I am giving sone serious thought to this Emerson hawk. it looks like it would be a great CQC weapon, not that I think my other ATC's are lacking in that department
