Emerson HD-7 retirement bath, lock question

So I recently retired my HD-7.

Basically, I've carried the knife every day for about seven years, and -- besides being my first high-quality knife -- it was the knife that got me interested in the "lifestyle." Since it's going in the drawer after all this time, I decided to give it a cleaning. After all, I hadn't cleaned it since day one (I know, I know...). Here's what it looked like after I disassembled it (I already wiped the spacer down before realizing I should document this):

Here's the blade. Pretty great shape for seven years of EDC:

And here it is back together again:

For the last few years, the knife developed substantial "rock lock." No side-to-side bladeplay, but definite vertical bladeplay. The cleaning and reassembly helped balance things up a bit, and the bladeplay is reduced but not gone. It's still fairly obvious.

The real issue, however, is the lockbar travel. The titanium lock has traveled all the way across the chassis and is pretty well up against the opposite side. I've searched the forum for advice on how to remedy this, but I haven't found a thing. Anyone have any advice on how to fix this? And is it even fixable at all? Here's a pair of pics (the detent ball is actually pushing up against the opposite side, making the lock look like it's not touching the wall, but it definitely is):

(Edit: That's not rust on the blade in the last pic -- just some gun oil I put on the pivot area. Also, is it safe to clean G10 with a good CLP like Hoppes?)

Thanks, guys!

You can always peen the lockbar with a punch hammer.

Send it in with a letter, make sure to call first though and talk to someone.

I am sure they will fix it up for you and then its ready for another 7 years of EDC.

I have been lusting after Emersons lately....so I vote don't retire it.

Good looking blade after 7 years, makes me want one more.
