I just got an Emerson HD7, black blade and plain edge and I must say its awesome. I have been wanting to try one of the titanium/g10 handled frame locks and have been thoroughly impressed with this one. One g10 scale and one titanium scale with lock bar makes for a flat, narrow comfy to carry, secure to grip super tactical folder.
The tanto blade is sharp as hell, the lock up is super with absolutely no play whatsoever but what really impressed me was the thickness, or should I say thinness of this knife. I was expecting overbuilt prybar and got a knife that is aprox the same thickness as my edc para military. This knife is the best tactical folder I have ever owned with the possible exception of the cudamax bowie. The strong lock, fast deployment via the wave and super profile and ergos really come together wel in this model. It is the classic cqc7 design which arguably is what put Ernest Emerson on the map with a really good lock which fixs what I consider to be Emerson knives greatest weakness, namely there liner locks. If you like tacctical folders then this one is really worth checking out.
