There's no feeling greater than when you get an awesome piece of kit!

Set the last pic, on my desk top, which for me is playing with fire.
Next thing you know, I'll have to have a Horseman.

i just got one of these about a week ago. my first real knife i've owned in maybe 5 years. it's a good knife and razor sharp right out of the box. i actually cut off part of my thumb closing the knife (and not paying attention).

i cut into a coke can and noticed some dents in the blade. i guess that comes from it being so sharp. Great knife though. i just ordered a full sized cqc-8

Aluminium is way softer than steel so it wont have chipped or dinged it, I bet they were just rolls on the edge.
Use a strop or fine ceramic to just "buff" them out ;)

I had a coin jump into my 12 the other day and even that didnt do any lasting damage.

nope there was a ding in the blade. i got it out with some intense sharpening though

I surprised an Ali can dinged the edge ?

I have stabbed and cut a few cans my self with no problems, you must just have better cans over there or something :D

I just took the knife apart and soaked everything in CLP breakfree, wiped it all down, greased the washers (what material are these made of?), and put it all back together. Tightened down the screws to finger tight. Now...its smoother than ever and locks up SO TIGHT, i swear its like a fixed blade. I put a little cloth under the stop pin to get it to stop rattling. It was actually surprising how dirty everything the pivot area of the knife was. I would actually prefer a metal backspacer so you are not screwing those little screws into the G10 material, which is bound to eventually loosen up. I also want to sand everything to fit together better. I can totally imagine getting some parts and turning this knife into a "semi-custom". ie titanium backspacer, phosphur bushings etc.
