How much of the blade do the serrations on the Horseman take up? Which would serve better in the defensive EDC role, serrated horseman or a mini plain edge cqc-7? Thanks.

There is a sticky'd thread with tons of pictures at the top. That should provide some different representations of proportions. For self defense, provided that you have some adequate and continuing training, either will work. It's not e knife that will save your life, it's what you are trained to do with it that will.

I'd say Horseman duie to it's longer blade and choil.

The problem is I could get one of the larger ones but I already have the BM710 so I don't feel a need for a folder in that category. I also like the Cold Steel Espada large design but I want to get to experience the quality of an Emerson. These two seem to be the only ones in the smaller category from the site I'm looking at under 150. I'd get the full size cqc-7 but the one on the site has only the non waved model.
