Emerson Karambit Fixed vs Super Karambit.

Hello I was just wondering what your opinions are on these 2 knives for EDC? I currently own a Super Commander and am very pleased with it, but sometimes you just need to mix it up a bit you know:cool:? I cant find literally 1 video or review period on the fixed blade Karambit and that kind of worries me, the Super Karambit I cant find in stock anywhere though either, so honestly its a toss up.
 
Its an Excellent blade.

It sure is a popular one with military and some LEO.

Also others.

But true, I can not find reviews either.

All I can say is. Its a Great Knife. Great K-bit. That said Emerson does not do many fixed blades. So the fixed blades can be somewhat "rare" when compared to Emerson folders. Also my guess as to why its hard to find reviews of the fixed blade are simply because your typical person does not need a fixed blade Karambit. Most people will probally prefer the folder. Unless your military or LEO and carry it as Kit. NOt saying all people, but generally speaking.

Of course Collectors are the exception. Just as there are many with Strider Kbits and others. But its certainly a rarity to find someone who really carries a fixed blade Kbit.
 
I own a fixed blade Emerson Karambit and I LOVE IT. If keep it on my Maxpedition bag. It's honestly such an amazing knife. Do you have any questions specifically? I'll talk to you about anything really... Really thinking about putting a video up on YouTube now. I can't believe nobody HAS yet.
 
Thanks for the reply's, I guess my main question is. Can I EDC the fixed blade without doing a "kit" so to speak. Can I just carry it in my pants, and have that work?

Guess it doesn't matter much, can't find a place with either in stock. Looked around for a good hour and a half. Emerson has no ETA on either of those knives =(
 
well it comes with a molded Kydex sheath and a TekLock for your belt tha tis screwed into the sheath. Call Recon 1 C.E.S. I think they might still have one in stock. 1-888-473-2661 and ask for Sako. He'll help you out.
 
Thanks, but I was actually able to find one! =) Fixed blade that is, How is the deployment out of the sheath? Does it constantly dull the blade?
 
it deploys pretty fast and secure... i don't think it really dulls the blade. just make sure you pull it out in such a way that the edge doesn't drag against the kydex...
