I bought an Emerson knife NIB last week that is signed "Ernest R. Emerson" on the blade. Is that normal or something special? Seems cool to me.

Emerson knives has a line known as the "Signature Series" and each is signed by Mr.E himself. Pretty cool!

What model is it. There are knives that are a part of the "signature series" that are signed by Mr. Emerson before being sold.

Let me see if I can remember them. Zealot, Hattin, Tiger, CSF, Appalachian, Spectrum.

My Zealot has no signature on it...
What gives?

I believe that might have been one of the first models released before the line was changed to signature series. There have been some slip out without a signature too, most recently bobnery got a csf that wasn't signed and er said if he sent it in they would have it signed.

I have a Zealot, Hattin and Tiger, none are signed. My CSF and Spectrum are. I don't think any of the "early" ones were signed.

Makes sense, I think mine is number 25 or something. I love that design, one of my favorite so far.
