**Emerson Knives have quality control problems**

I agree with rogue. And I LIKE Emerson knives. But let's be HONEST, their QC is a problem that is holding them back from dominating the industry.

While I will admit that some of EKI's knives had some QC issues in the past, all of the blades that have come out of the shop lately have been top notch! Lockup is solid and fit/finish is excellent. The only problem I've ever had with my Emersons was a loosening pivot screw on a CQC-7B and a Raven. All of the others (12 in all) were perfect.

The lockup on my Commander is excellent. ZERO complaint.
However, the clip screws were never really tight from the time I bought it, and when I attempted to snug them up, I found they were stripped out.
I put the knife away and only this last week got around to calling EKI about getting it fixed.
The lady who answered was very polite but admitted she did not have the authority to tell me they would send me replacement screws.
She took my name, number and email addy and told me that if they couldn't send the screws they'd contact me, otherwise, if I didn't hear from them the screws were on the way.
I expect them arrive any day now.
Okay, so there was a problem with it when it left the shop. It happens, and I'm sure they'll fix it.
(Just hope I don't have to ship it back to get clip screws replaced.)
Otherwise, the Waved Commander is the best designed knife I own.
