New from Emerson Knives is the Mini Commander. 3.5" inch blade as opposed to the 3.75" blade of its bigger brother. The Mini Commander maybe scaled down in size but when you wrap your grip around the handle, it still has that signature "Commander feel" - a very secure grip. Blade thickness of the Mini is the same as the bigger version - 1/8", so they are not sacrificing strength for a smaller size. Also. the stop pin is the same size as that of the regular Commander. Overall a very stout folder, well made.

Here is a scan of it along with the Commander for size reference:

Great knife! I've had my new mini w/green handle #117 for about a month now.

I've had mine for a while, same color and blade scheme. It came to me by accident (thought I cancelled that backorder), didn't mean to keep it; but the darn thing snuck in my pocket and I liked it so much I let it stay. :)

Dex,

Do you know if and when these will be available in a LH version?

Thanks.

Ken - that's a good question. I'm not sure. Though, since the full size Commander is available as a lefty, it's almost safe to say the Mini will too.

I got a green-handled Mini-Commander recently, and I must say I love. That thing is built like a tank, and the Wave is friggin amazing...

Traded fer it and got it today.
Black g10,though. It is a stout knife. Wont hesitate to throw whatver i can at it.Still working on the whole 'When you pull it out of your pocket the blade opens' deal, but its getting easier. Very well made tac folder.

I had a Mini Commander for less than two weeks. It just didn't feel quite right in My hand.A very nice knife if it fits.tom.
