Currently it's only for the standard sized CQC-7 variants, and the standard sized Commander. Is it just me or are there other lefties out there who'd like to get some others Emerson's but have held back because of this?

Left Handed buyers are 12-13% of potential buyers, be happy Emerson makes two left handed knives. Many companies make ZERO LEFT HANDED Versions.

BTW I am a Southpaw.

A true left hand would be nice. EKI made some limited lefty blades with an actual left hand grind. I'm a righty but I feel that grind tracks better for me when I'm cutting.

There are (2) Left Handed Emerson Models are the CQC-7, and Commander. I like the way they are ground, as they seem to cut fine for me.

Mr. Emerson is a business person who I am sure has weighted the balance of accommodation left handed users, verses potential customers for his products.

He wisely chose to off two very popular model Emerson’s in a true left handed version. For Mr. Emerson’s company to make all models available in a true left handed version, would be putting a lot of money in inventory with a small sales potential, plus tooling up left handed for each model would cost serious money for left handed tooling. Those cost would be passed along cost to all customers. Plus it may dilute the sales potential for the Lefty CQC-7’s & Commanders.

Like I said we southpaws are only 12-14% of the population, to me good business sense says produce, and offer a products geared to the largest possible audience. Right handed users If you want to be successful.

I do everything in my life Left Handed with the exception of shooting a Rifle or Shotgun. I shoot right handed, and I honestly do not know why I started & stayed right handed. But I do OK shooting long guns right handed.

I like most left handed people struggle with scissors, some hand tools, controls & knobs that were made to accommodate the largest percentage of the population right handed people.

Back in the dark age when my mother would would today be over 100 year old. When she started school she was also a southpaw. But the teachers back than made all lefties become righties.
