Hello. I need to return a CQC7 with wave to Emerson for repairs. What is their shipping address, so I will know that I am sending the knife to the right place for repairs?
Thanks, Big D1

Aphthartos, thanks for your help. I did misplace the white piece of paper that came with the box and knife. I did find the box though.

I figured the question would come up with what is wrong with the knife. If I adjust the pivot, so the liner does not rub the blade, the knife is extremely tight to open and close. If I loosen the pivot, so that the blade just barely rubs the liner, the knife is still tight, but does open and close smoother. In my opinion, even with the pivot adjusted loose, the knife is just too tight. The knife should be broken in by now since I have opened and closed it at least 500 times. I did use some loctite to hold adjustment of the pivot, and I was very careful not to use more than was needed. It is the same way without any loctite being used, so in my opinion it has to be something wrong with the knife. I just hope Emerson can get it fixed because I like this knife better than the Commander. I never had any problems with the Commander. Thanks, Big D1

I remembered that this was discussed on the forums recently and did a search on blade adjustment. Check out the thread from Brigadier called `Fixed my SOCFK Blade/liner Rubbing Problem'. Sounds like it's solved a couple ways - by adjusting the detent tension or by loosening up the screws, shifting the liners and retightening the screws.

Hope this helps, Bob

Thanks BRP. I did read the post by Brigadier. I just do not feel comfortable messing around with the liners and such. Heck, I told Emerson in my letter to them that since they had the knife in for repairs to go ahead, and install a skull clip to the knife. I think the skull clips are way cool!!

The knife is on its way to Emerson as I write this post. I will let everybody know how it turns out once I get it back. I am 100% sure that Emerson will fix the knife for me. Big D1
