Emerson LaGriffe Sheath Question

Hi. I just picked up a plain edge Emerson LaGriffe today...regular model, not the rescue. Nice little knife, seems pretty good for SD situations.

However, I think that Emerson may have included the wrong sheath though. It appears that they gave me the rescue sheath by mistake because it does not look anything like the sheath I've seen in pictures. The sheath I received has 4 eyelets and is not rectangular at all. Should I give Emerson a call and have them send me another or is this the correct sheath? Thanks.

I think you just received a newer sheath. The older ones were rectangular. The newer ones look a little different.

Can't really describe it though...saw it on a website briefly...
The newer one looked to me like it conformed to the knife more. I dunno if that helps...just my guess...

Yes, it seems to conform to the knife a little better and is not rectangular. It seems to mar the blade coating a little though. Maybe I just got a new one...mine is a 2002 model.

After I test this knife out, I'll post a small review.
