Emerson Lock up

I own 2 Emersons and both of there locks flex when open. When im feeling for blade play the lock flexes in. It doesnt fail but it bends. I have a CQC 10 and a Endurance prestige. Just wanted to know if this is typical and normal for Emerson knives or is it something that should be fixed as warrenty work. No other liner lock i own does that and i have quite a few. These were both bought NIB from Emerson dealers.

Did you contact the dealers? I'm not sure I understand what you mean when you say the lock flex.
 
If you have the knife open and locked and your feeling for blade play. You can feel the blade move up and down. The lock bends a little when you apply pressure to the blade. Two different dealers, two different knives and both of them do it. The endurance does it more than the CQC 10.
 
hmmm... do you have a picture of the lockup? I would like to see how thick the liners are.
 
So nobody elses do this?

Only thing i can think of is these are the only titanium liner locks i own. Thats why none of my other liner locks do this. Just a guess.
 
As you said the pictures really dont show a problem. I think I understand the problem as a flexing of the lock when down pressure is applied to the blade? Thus not something that really can be shown in a still picture. I have never experienced this problem in many many Emersons I have owned but, Emerson is a great company to deal with and they will take care of you if there is a problem. If you have any concerns call the experts they will sort it out.
 
Not sure what you mean by that. The lock bar has tension so it wants to travel to the other side, but I think it's very hard to bend it the way you are describing.
 
Im saying lock is fully engaged, the knife is all the way open. If you put pressure on the blade like your trying to close it with out disengaging the lock you can see the liner lock bending. I just tried this on 5 other liner locks i own and known of them budge. The Endurance really bends in alot. The liner lock stays in contact with the blade the whole time though. Being i had two of them that do this i was expecting people to say thats normal for a Emerson. I guess ill call emerson and see what they say. Maybe another way to describe this is it bows in.
 
I would e-mail Emerson Customer Service, I had a P-Sark and a Super Commander, Even with the large 4 inch blade of the Super Commander, I had no liner flex at all.
I would expect the stainless liners to flex more than titanium. From your pictures, They seem to be authentic Emerson knives.
I've had no problems with their Customer Service in the past, May take a day or two but they usually respond and are very helpful.

Disengage the lock before you close it. Unless you plan on sharpening the spine of your knife I dont think anything is wrong with it
 
I dont make videos usually. But i tried and without a tripod its impossible for me to do it one handed. One more try at explaining it. Test your knife for up and down blade play. With alot of pressure and watch your lock bar. The Endurance moves so much that it comes a good 1/16 off the back stop while being in contact with lock bar. I called emerson and they said to send it in.
