I really like the design and the blade shape the steel etc but a thin liner lock come on.I wana hear from you guys if you have had problems .And the price ?????/// is it worth it

There is nothing wrong with a well made Walker Liner Lock. It's stood the test of time, and if it sucked as bad as you think, no one would use it. I don't know how you define the term "worth", it has a very distinct meaning from one person to the next. I guess it depends on the individual, their financial status, and what they find aesthetically pleasing in a knife.

I think you haven't done much research. Emerson's liner locks are not thin at all, not are they problematic, or weak. In fact, there's a reason Emerson has the reputation for strength they have. Emerson knives are about ergonomic, purpose built designs, backed by a company that is more than accessible to the end user. I've never heard of anyone having a legitimate problem with an Emerson knife, and certainly never heard of a problem that Emerson wasn't willing to take care of. As for whether Emerson knives are "worth it", like Rev said, I think it depends on your own set of criteria. I will say that if you go into a $200+ Emerson knife with the preconceived notion that a liner lock is inferior, or that the knife isn't going to be worth it, then you will probably NOT be satisfied with it...

I love all mine. Never had a problem with any of them. I was never really "into" emersons, untill I actually tried one out and now its almost all I carry.

This lock thing seems related to crazy testing done on YouTube.

The vast majority of knives out there will work great and will not fail you. I've never had a lock mechanism fail me on any blade. As long as you maintain your knife and get it serviced when you see any unusual issues creeping up, you won't have a problem.

I just got back a Mini Commander from Emerson. It had blade play, but the lock still held. They swapped out the lock side and put in a larger stop pin. Good as new. All under warranty.

I've had Emersons for years. Several friends have, too. Never a failure, never a worn-out liner, never a hiccup in the knife living up to Ernie's famous hard-use slogan. Emersons are top-end production knives, period.

If you really like Emerson and don't mind spending money, you can do a framelock conversion on one or buy one that has been converted.

There are some people that will do it for a fee (around 200 bucks or so)
